Jennifer McCollom
Jennifer McCollom has worked as a Professional Film makeup artist since 1990. She grew up watching shows like Doctor Who and the original Battlestar Galactica with her dad, who was an electrician for Voice of America and the VAB building at NASA. Her mom was a Critical care nurse, and she would hang out in the cardiologist’s office after school, so the geek in her, and love of creating and science, are definitely inherited.
She has worked on many films and TV shows like The Hunting Wives season 2, all 4 seasons of The Righteous Gemstones, Halloween Kills, Emmy award-winning John Adams, Academy award-winning Eyes of Tammy Faye, Please Don’t Destroy, The Black Phone, The Conjuring, and many others.
She also has a love of teaching and sharing knowledge. She taught for 12 years to film students at Piedmont Community College and enjoyed seeing several students later on in various film projects. She even got to travel to Vietnam for 5 weeks to work on a film, as well as teach them how to work the departments. Afterwards she traveled to New Zealand to visit Weta and take some classes herself, and visit Hobbiton as she is a Hobbit being 4’9” and loves finding good food and an adventure.
