The Blibbering Humdingers
Saturday Only
These magical masters of musical mayhem mean to amuse you with their mellifluous melodies and mindfully managed mischief! They create and perform acoustic nerd rock for:
Gamers, geeks, and galactic guardians, browncoats, centaurs, and mandalorians;
Hobbits, elves, and wizard gangsters; avengers, defenders, and black-belt hamsters;
Elder gods, small gods, fans of Tripod; Fremen, Atredies, and Houses of the Landsraad;
Hufflepuff sandwiches, pitches & snitches, trans-inclusive feminist witches;
Lions and tigers and bears (oh my!); the droids you’re looking for, and the last jedi;
Samurai cats, I am Groot… and every manner of hoopy frood.
Scott & Kirsten Vaughan began performing together in 1992 in the SCA, where they are known as Efenwealt Wystle and Maîtresse Aénor d’Anjou. In 2007, they decided to form a wizard rock act and were very active in that scene until She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named killed it. They’ve since branched out into all kinds of nerd rock, geek tunes, lit-rock, bardcore, filk, celtic folk, nerd folk, historically informed medieval & renaissance music, and other fun stuff. They live in Cary, NC where they really have nothing to talk about with any of their neighbors.
In October 2025 they were voted Best Performers in the Pegasus Awards for Excellence in Filking.
When not out conquering the galaxy with her army of robotic wallabies, Kirsten creates steampunk/medieval/fantasy accessories for her online store, MyFunkyCamelot.com. And in order to protect his secret past as a renegade architect, Scott pretends to manage communications campaigns for clinical research studies at a small advertising/creative services agency. Their pal Chuck who often plays bass with them claims to be a mild-mannered government IT contracts coordinator, but we suspect he’s really a super spy. Over the years they’ve been joined by numerous friends for recordings and show. Most recently their offspring Gwen and Liam have been backing them up on drums, keyboards, and other assorted instruments.
